We've Moved! Visit www.boldtmanstudios.com

So it's mid April here in Edmonton. Spring was in the air, until this weekend. Wow! Looks like Christmas again outside. We've been having snow fall since last friday night and it's pretty bad. At least it's not 30˚below out there.

This week's Illustration Friday topic was Primitive. As soon as I read it I couldn't think of anything else but a caveman. I tried to think of something else over the weekend, but in the end I gave in and this is the fellow who's been haunting my imagination when ever I read that word.

In other news, I have tried and tested my pop-up templates and dummies about as much as they can stand it... and they're still working. This project is almost ready now to send "out there" again, so I will be revealing it very shortly. I also hope to upload a video of them in action.

Take care,
-Mike Boldt

Sucks about the snow, NS is shockingly spring like. I'm sure you'll be back to normal in a few days....Love your stuff. Really interesting to compare our takes on Jack and the Beanstalk.

I think I went to school with this guy. It was around the same year.

Nice work Mike! I like your style and sense of humour. I very much enjoyed your website as well.

We (Vancouver Island) also had snow on Saturday, which is unheard of for April. Makes you wonder about the phrase "global warming".

It's always nice to see you back on posting. I imagine it's a bit difficult to keep this updated with your first child. At least I know that you are alive and kicking, and for the most part all is well!

If it helps any, we just got some snow last night (Friday) and on Wednesday it was in the 70s, so it's still a bit bizarre around here as well.

Sorry, haven't been checking up with you lately. Good to see you marketing yourself again! And with awesome work. So who cares if it's a caveman? You've executed it beautifully. :)
